Terms of Service

Effective date: February 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of BusyBoard ("Service"), accessible at busyboard.app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using BusyBoard on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

BusyBoard is a web-based group scheduling and availability tool that allows you to:

  • Connect your Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar to display when you are busy (not event details)
  • View the collective availability of teammates in your organization
  • Share your availability via a public or private link
  • Create and manage groups for group availability views
  • Subscribe to Pro or Organization plans for expanded features

The Service may evolve over time. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information during registration
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

You must be at least 16 years old to use BusyBoard. Each account is for individual use — do not share your credentials. Organizations can add multiple members, each with their own account.

4. Calendar Integration (Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook)

By connecting a calendar, you authorize BusyBoard to read your events in order to determine your busy times (we store only start/end times and RSVP status — never event titles, descriptions, attendees, or locations from synced calendars), and to create or edit events on your behalf when you use the scheduling feature or cross-calendar sync rules you configure. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google or Microsoft account settings or BusyBoard calendar settings.

Revoking access stops future syncing but does not immediately delete previously synced busy block data. Delete your account to remove all stored data.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or third-party rights
  • Scrape or systematically download data beyond normal use
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls
  • Share someone else's availability without their consent
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others
  • Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or malicious code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's integrity or performance
  • Use availability data for surveillance, stalking, or harassment

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Availability Sharing

When you create a public availability share link, you make your busy schedule accessible to anyone with that link. Only your busy time blocks, display name, avatar, and timezone are shared — never event titles, descriptions, or other calendar details.

You are responsible for managing your share links. Revoke them when appropriate. By adding another user's share token as an external connection, you confirm you have legitimately obtained that token with the person's knowledge.

7. Organizations and Groups

Organization owners are responsible for managing member access, roles, and permissions. When you join an organization, other members may see your busy time blocks (not event details) through the shared availability view.

If you are the sole owner of an organization and delete your account, the organization and its groups will be deleted. Other members' individual data is not affected.

8. Payment Terms

Free tier

  • Maximum 2 connected calendars and 2 groups
  • 1 public availability share link
  • 2-week availability window; standard sync frequency
  • Maximum 3 organization members (paid tiers: 10, 30, or 100)
  • Event scheduling not available

Current limits for each plan are listed on the pricing page, which is authoritative if it differs from the summary above.

Pro and Organization subscriptions

Subscriptions unlock expanded limits and features. Purchases are made through Stripe acting as merchant of record ("Stripe Managed Payments"): your payment is processed by Stripe, which appears as the seller of your purchase and is responsible for calculating, charging, and remitting applicable VAT or sales tax. Displayed prices include such taxes where applicable. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually until cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Price changes take effect at your next renewal with at least 30 days' notice

Refunds and EU right of withdrawal

If BusyBoard isn't for you, contact support@busyboard.app within 14 days of your first purchase and we'll refund it in full. Renewals and partial billing periods are generally not refunded, except where required by law or under Stripe's consumer refund policies as merchant of record.

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. By subscribing, you request that the service starts immediately; if you withdraw within the 14-day period, you are entitled to a refund reduced proportionally for the period of service already provided. Refunds are processed by Stripe to your original payment method. You may also contact Link (Stripe) support directly via your receipt.

9. Intellectual Property

BusyBoard, including its design, code, and trademarks, is owned by Juraj Hallon, a sole trader (živnostník) registered in the Czech Republic. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without written permission.

You retain ownership of all data you bring to BusyBoard. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service.

If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a royalty-free license to use that feedback without compensation or attribution.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
  • Calendar sync will be real-time or perfectly accurate (sync runs on a scheduled cycle)
  • Availability information will always reflect the current state of your calendar

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BusyBoard and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.

Sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
